About Prague Lion Hostel

The hostel is situated in the historical center,in a quiet street. Walking distance to all important monuments.Near to pubs, restaurants and clubs. Just few steps from spectaculous view of Prague castle. Nearest metro station is just 350 meters away.

We are comfortable place to stay in a safe, clean and friendly environment.

Though we like to have fun, we are not a party hostel. We aim to provide a quiet and relaxed atmosphere in the hostel, so if youï¿½d like to party you can visit some of the clubs and bars close by.

RECEPTION IS OPENED DAILY from 9.00 to 18.00 - if you need to check in later, please, contact us in advance to arrange it. Without any arrangement reception will be closed at 18.00. Check-ins at midnight are the latest we can accept.

Failure to arrive by 18.00 (if not arranging later check-in) will result in cancellation of your booking and charging your credit card for the 1st night stay!

We are taking cash payments only in CZK on arrival.

Credit Cards accepted (4% fee).

No hidden charges!!

You can cancel (by using your own clientï¿½s inbox) your entire booking 24 hrs prior to your arrival, the day before by 9 AM ! Later cancellations or no shows will be charged!

Phone cancellations are not accepted.

We are unable to send mail or fax letters for visa document applications.

New Year conditions, valid for all the reservations from 29th of Dec 10 until 2nd Jan 11 :

during this time we require a minimum stay of 4 nights.

All the guests during this period MUST pay a CAUTION of 250 Euro or 6000 CZK in cash which is refundable after inspection of the room.

The cancellation conditions for these bookings are following:

- cancellations less than 60 days prior to arrival date will be charged for the first night stay

- cancellations less than 30 days prior to arrival date will be charged for the whole stay (meaning the whole balance due specified on the confirmation voucher).

There are only check-outs and there is no possibility of storing your bags during the day.

On the 25th Dec 2010 reception will be opened from 10 AM

Groups of 7 and more persons or if booking 3 or more rooms are paying a caution of 2700 CZK (100 Euros) for each room - IN CASH - and on arrival!

Beware that we have a right to precharge your credit card (1st night) prior to your arrival. If it fails we have a right to cancel your booking.

**** IMPORTANT TO KNOW *********

If you reserve 12 Bed Private (Shared Bathroom) or 12 Bed Private Ensuite, please, note that you have to pay for bedlinen extra, each bedlinen for each bed costs 75 CZK. Towels are not included. Please, beware that the payment for sheets is obligatory in order not to pollute pillows and covers!

Price for all the other rooms includes fee for bedlinen.

From The Main Train Station

take subway line C to Florenc stop. Change to line B and go to Karlovo namesti stop. Exit the platform and then follow the signs for the Karlovo namesti - DONT GO TO Palackeho namesti.

Make sure you take the exit KARLOVO NAMESTI (not Palackeho). Outside metro cross the tramway tracks (opposite the park), take Resslova street downhill towards the river, after 170m turn right to Na Zderaze street, after 120m turn right to Na Zborenci street. After 50m you hit the hotel.

From Holesovice Train Station

From the airport:

Take bus 100 to the endstation ZLICIN. Change to metro (line B). Get off at KARLOVO NAMESTI station.

Or take bus 119 to the endstation DEJVICKA. Change to metro (line A), 4th station is MUSTEK, change to line B there (direction ZLICIN), 2nd station is KARLOVO NAMESTI.

Nearest metro station is KARLOVO NAMESTI (line B). Make sure you take the exit KARLOVO NAMESTI (not Palackeho). Outside metro cross the tramway tracks (opposite the park), take Resslova street downhill towards the river, after 170m turn right to Na Zderaze street, after 120m turn right to Na Zborenci street. After 50m you hit the hostel.

By public transport you need transfer ticket for 32 CZK - you buy it at information desk, newspaper stand.

From The Airport:

Airport pickup is available on request. You must email us to request this service. The rate is 600.- CZK for 1-4 persons; e-mail us to make a booking.

Be careful with taxi drivers, particularly from the train station. Taxis that are legally registered may still be mafia-run affairs that do their best to overcharge. It is illegal for a taxi driver to refuse you a receipt in Prague, so agree a price before putting yourself, or your luggage, in the taxi. The risk of over-charging is greatly overplayed, just take the usual sensible precautions of only using taxi firms affiliated with the station or your hotel, or call a reputable company and wait. Finally, if presented with a wrong bill from a taxi driver, call the police on your mobile phone. Your driver will quickly change his tune!
