About Hostal Luna Calypso

This friendly, family run Hostel is supremely located in Providencia and is in close proximity to all kinds of bars, cafes, restaurants, Barrio Bellavista (a bohemian, exciting neighborhood in Santiago), the Mercado Central (a fish market with many seafood restaurants designed by Eiffel) as well as steps from the Bustamante Metro Station. This fairly small size creates a low key atmosphere where different cultures and languages mix easily.

Hang out in our quiet garden after strolling around the lively city of Santiago. Our English speaking staff will happily provide you with maps, information and tips on where to go or you can hire a bike and explore the city on one of its many bike paths.

We have private rooms, simple and clean (single/double/triple) and a small dorm (max. of six people). Bathrooms with 24h hot water, lounge and kitchen for your use are located on the cozy 2nd floor of the Hostel.

Very safe at any time:There are lines of minibuses that carry almost all the districts of Santiago and its surroundings, representatives of the minibuses and TransVip or Transcity They are super safe and cheap only 13USD to the hostel in Santiago found throughout the airport and can buy tickets at the baggage claim area.

Bus: From the airport there are several bus lines that reach the center of Santiago and the surrounding neighborhoods.

Centro Puerto: Bus stops at the bus station in Los Heroes, near metro station Los Heroes (frequency: every 10 minutes journey time: 40 minutes).

The Tour Bus stops at the Alameda bus station and continues to downtown Santiago (frequency: every 30 minutes).

METRO:

From the bus station Universidad de Santiago take the Metro Line 1 to the station “Baquedano”. Transfer to Line 5 and get off at station “Parque Bustamante”. Walk south to the end of the park and turn left onto Manuel Antonio Prieto, number 0184 corner of Seminario Street.
