It was the first time I did a hostel and I really enjoyed it! The evenings organized by the establishment and the Charlie’s bar are top notch! Great welcome, I was the only French among many Croatians, English or Americans but were able to be understanding of my level of English?

Good location. Friendly staff. Clean rooms/beds/bathroom. Good water pressure and hot shower. I would stay here again given the chance.

Such nice rooms and clean bathrooms. The hostel is clean and the beds are comfy. Bunk beds are sturdy. Close to the bus station, and other tourist spots. Kind staff, and good price.

It is much too hot in the rooms, no air conditioning, a simple fan which does not quite do the trick… The staff is 50/50 nice/naughty… to see the team of this hostel again There are not enough crockery, space to eat, a simple vending machine that works halfway... Some bedroom doors don't even close, how can you sleep well anyway??

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice homely atmosphere in shared areas. Great private room - everything you need for a comfortable and undisturbed night sleep without breaking the bank.

I was only there for 1 night. I found that it had a good atmosphere! The staff were really friendly and were more than happy to have a conversation! I liked that it had a kitchen to cook and large area to eat and couches to relax. I also liked how clean the bathrooms were.

Palmers Lodge was well located close to the train and bus station, clean, convinient, and very nice and helpful staff. Will go back and definitely recommend to others!

Each time the reception was professional and warm. The rooms are clean and spacious (duet). The hostel is not far from the center, a supermarket is in front, there are nice bars to hang out in the evening (or during the day). Good value for money.

Regarding the dormitory, I did not appreciate the arrival of 3 people including the dormitory of 4 where I was at 3am !! Having slept very little the night before and wanting to rest the first night to be in good shape for the three short days spent in Zagreb, it was very ambitious! Bar with a happy hour, social activities organized every night, situated in the city center. Modern facilities, spacious rooms, and comfortable beds. Super fun staff and volunteers.

We had a great time at this hostel. From the moment we arrived we felt at home. The staff is warm, welcoming and very good advice whether culinary or for activities. The hostel is super clean, thanks to the person who cleans it is very pleasant. We are 2 girls and were in a mixed dorm and we felt safe at all times. Home non-existent. The man who allocates the beds walks into the room without knocking and makes an impossible noise even if it is 11pm and you are in your bed. The roommates weren't respectful at all. The good thing is the location. I will not be going back.

Good value for money. Breakfast without coffee only.
